Monday Morning Inspiration~ From Lili & Mae

Happy Monday everyone! My name is Mae and I write a life and style blog called, Lili & Mae. I'm so happy to be here as Sam is one of my favorite blogging friends. She's got a lovely sense of style and we're both from the South!  Plus, I really love her Monday Morning Inspiration series so I'm honored to be sharing my inspiration with you all today. Let's get started...

I {very} recently moved back to the US after living abroad as an ex-pat for two years.  While it was an incredible experience, I'm so happy to be back and with my family.  So, I'm currently inspired by lovely living rooms, cozy sweaters, cowboy boots and all things that remind me of the heart and home.

I'm generally pretty happy with my style and my closet, but this year I've decided to refine it a bit.  I want to simplify all aspects of my life and that includes my clothes.  I'm drawing inspiration from this lovely lady.

One of my resolutions this year was to further cultivate creativity in my life.  While my blog has certainly helped, I want to try new things. So, I'm trying to surround myself with gorgeous art so that I can constantly draw inspiration from it.

My last spark of inspiration comes from color.  I don't usually wear a lot of color and most of my decorating is in monochromatic tones of whites and greys.  But, lately I've been drawn to well-placed pops of bright and rich colors for my wardrobe and my home.
