Hello, lovelies! Today's Monday Morning Inspiration is all about Valentine's Day fashion. But, instead of looking ahead at the NYFW runways for inspiration, today we are looking back. We are looking back at three great fashion muses that changed the way we think and feel about getting dressed. So no matter what your V-Day plans are, I've got you covered!
Our first muse is the beautiful Audrey Hepburn. Known for her classic feminine silhouettes and ladylike grace, I felt she was the perfect icon to model a romantic Valentine's Day dinner outfit after. Naturally, I chose a Milly dress paired with Kate Spade black heels, classic diamond studs and a structured Chanel bag. The bows on the Kate Spade heels and on the waist of the dress add feminine glamour. The neutral color palette also pays tribute to Audrey's classic style.
If you are spending Valentine's Day with a group of girlfriends or planning to go out for a night on the town, look no further than Miss Carrie Bradshaw for outfit inspiration. The ultimate "girl's girl", Carrie was always pushing the limits with her style and never failed to make a statement. Since we are in the middle of winter, I couldn't feature her pink tank+pink tulle tutu that we all love. Instead, I went with a biker jacket, a black form-fitting skirt, and Chloe ankle boots. Accessorize this rocker-chic look with a Louis Vuitton clutch and snake cuff, and you're ready to conquer the city. In case you don't have an endless credit card limit like Carrie, here are a few beautiful alternatives to achieve this same look: Biker Jacket/Anke Boots/Snake Cuff
Our third muse is the sultry Brigette Bardot. Known for her sex appeal and carefree demeanor, Brigette is beyond naturally beautiful. For a relaxed evening in, I turned to Brigette for fashion inspiration. This outfit is modeled for a movie night in with your hubby or girlfriends, so naturally a comfy wrap sweater and scarf were essential. I accessorized this look with Chloe riding boots and tortoise shell specs.
However you spend your Valentine's Day, whether with your sweetie or your BFFs, I hope you spend it stylishly!
