A home decor trend I am loving is using a headboard as a focal point to the bedroom. There are so many beautiful and creative options for headboards. I know one part of decorating a home that is challenging for many is finding artwork that works with the overall aesthetic of the room, speaks to the decorator, and is relatively affordable. The great thing about having a bold headboard is that it creates visual appeal for the room and for above your bed- so no artwork is needed! Headboards can make such a statement! My bf and I DIY-ed one last spring and it turned out great. They're especially fun because the DIY ones are easy to update if you change your mind about fabric.

Ooh lala! I love the vintage turquoise & gold looking one with the floral bedding! So chic! But I love all of these! I'm definitely into using re-purposed goods as a headboard with a door or window, etc... a definitely DIY and easy task with the right supplies!
