I love glam spaces with a hint of edge. And what better way to create a little edge than with lacquer? Both Kate Spade and Nate Berkus lacquered a portion of their apartments, and it certainly creates high-impact spaces that pack a punch.
Although I adore this trend, I'm not sure I could bring myself to do it in my own home. Would you lacquer?
Ohhhh totally! I am all over that!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I think it looks awesome but I don't think I would want it I my house. I would gladly help someone else do it to theirs though :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!

I love this look! But I'd lean towards only doing one wall as a focus - not sure I could handle an entire room!
ReplyDeleteI love this look, but it doesn't go in my house, really. Not with an opinionated husband who loves everything wood :)
ReplyDeletebut it sure puts a room in glam mode and makes it look so designer-y!
Happy Easter Sam!

I would totally lacquer my entire apartment!!! Ok maybe not. But I would probably lacquer ceilings, an occasional room, and kitchen cupboards :)
ReplyDeleteLove it!Think it adds such drama and glam to your house!
ReplyDeleteThese rooms look so stylish.I love my lacquered kitchen but not sure I would do it in my lounge.

I could add lacquer to anything that sits still long enough! I would be really into bright white lacquer in a sun filled room. Tory Burch also has bright orange lacquered walls in one of her homes dining rooms, NYC apartment I think.
ReplyDeleteI love lacquer, I would have it in at least two of my rooms, most definitely a rich chestnut in the library.
ReplyDeleteI love this look so much! I could definitely see doing this at some point, I just don't think our current house could make it rock. Hopefully in the future :)
ReplyDeleteIf I could afford to Lacquer the walls I totally would. I have super super glossy walls in my bedroom and LOVE it!!! Love all of these pics!!! oxoxo Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteYES! I definitely would! I especially love Aerin Lauder's home office, stunning!
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah girlllllllll I love this! Def would have to choose the appropriate room, but it is a ton of fun. xo

I don't know if I could do it. I mean all of these images are lovely...but maybe it's too glossy?
ReplyDeleteI love it too :) It's on my "possible list" for new house but not sure I can make it fit in...
ReplyDeletehavta agree with you. I think it's great for inspirational purposes, but I can't see putting it in my own home. My personal style is much more casual.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that before....lacquered walls looks amazing! I would just do one room!
