When I first spotted this purple and white subway tile chevron print, I became short of breath. Not only am I obsessed with chevron (probably in large part due to Missoni), but how often do you see purple tile?!
The bold color and pattern immediately made me envision a pretty market in Barcelona or perhaps a hotel lobby in Cabo san Lucas. With the bold color and summery feel, I used this tile pattern to inspire a summertime soiree...
The soiree would be a casual affair held in a pretty backyard. There would be tea candles lining the table and lots of red wine on hand.
To sit in: Wooden picnic chairs lined with a vine of pretty flowers
To sip: Blackberry champagne cocktails (get the recipe here)
To snack on: Figs with gorgonzola
To wear: A classic lavender tee with a pencil skirt, paired with a messy bun and pearls.
I love when a simple image can spark a whole new idea. I hope to create interiors one day with elements that inspire!
Oooo! I love this soiree! Can I come?!
