Living in my bedroom as I originally decorated it for a year now, I think it's time to switch it up a bit. That's the plight of a designer, I guess: always wanting to change things up and try something new! Here's how it looks now- very girly, classic, and glam:
Although I love the feel of it now, I am really craving a richer space- more vampy, with bold color and a touch of mid century modern. I'd like to add more black and a bit of gold.
Here's a few bedrooms that I am completely head over heels for...
And here's an inspiration board I created for my vision...
Row 1:/Custom Hand-Blocked Pillow Cover/Kelly Wearstler Agate Pillow Cover/Amanda Taley "Castanea" painting/Row 2: Kelly Wearstler Malibu Chair/The Little Black Dress Book/Audrey Hepburn Photographs Book/Leather and Brass Bench/Bottom Row: Circa Lighting Floor Lamp/Antique Italian Mohair Settee
I realllly would love to buy everything on this board. Sigh, if only...
I think your bedroom is currently AAHHHHHMAZING!!! of course those inspiration photos are also fantastic and I love roundup. That pink bench is adorable...and so is the KW chair. I look forward to seeing what you decide on.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!! Your room is already killer, I'm going to be blown outta my socks when I see what you have up your sleeve for it now!
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom is gorgeous but I totally understand wanting to change it up! Especially when you have inspiration like these photos!
ReplyDeleteYour current bedroom is so pretty but I know what you mean about wanting to revamp. That picture third from the bottom is on my short list for our bedroom too!
ReplyDeleteI am constantly wanting to redo my home. I just had my home painted a little over a year ago and now I want to change it. Love your mood board especially the black settee, I had a settee reupholstered in a black mohair for my client and it looks amazing!!

I love the large artwork. It's definitely a focal point that will mean the rest of your designing can be a bit simpler. All the best with the revamp.
ReplyDeleteI need that quatrefoil lamp! love your bedroom

I simply cannot decide which one I like best. I like the dark rug with hints of pink and gold, but I'm already really drawn to that first one. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI think each of the looks are so lovely--as is your bedroom now! I know the feeling of wanting to switch things up though, I get antsy with design too. That couch you picked is gorgeous!

I love your picks! I think you'll love adding a bit of black & gold. I never get sick of it! And I can completely relate on always wanting to change a space... we are almost finished with our living room and I already want to re-do it! I exhaust myself.
ReplyDeleteSam - the EXACT same thing happened to me... when I moved in Fort Worth in January... I was totally into shabby chic/glamorous style and decorated it in just that. Then, when I moved across the street in May, I was completely feeling the mid century modern thing. It was hard though... I bought new bedding and accessories that were right up that alley but I'm stuck with shabby chic furniture - le sigh. Blah... I think what I have it okay for now but I'd still like some new furniture ;) Who wouldn't?!
ReplyDeleteYour headboard is INSANE. I love it so much. I understand how you are feeling. My style changes wayyy too much and it's hard for me to commit to anything. I loove your board. That settee is gorgeous and that chair...DYING. Excited to see what you do! xo
ReplyDeleteI love your room now, it's so beautiful! But I totally understand wanting to make a change. All great options you've pulled together!
ReplyDeleteall of these are sooo great - yours is fab now! great ideas, thanks! <3
ReplyDeleteooo!!! the 4th & 5th photos are calling my name!!! totally gorgeous! XO brynn
ReplyDeleteI love the second room's pop of color! A bright pop like the canvas in that picture would be divine with more black and gold. Can't wait to see what you end up doing. Totally know the feeling of switching things up constantly :)
ReplyDeleteLove the inspiration for the new space. I want to do the wallpaper panels beside my bed like in the first pic - adds a great print!
ReplyDeleteooooohhh love all your inspiration pieces. I'm sure whatever you do will look great.
ReplyDeleteI love your room and looks WAY better than the inspiration photos! Your new inspiration board is awesome!
