This weekend I am crossing something off my "North American Bucket List"- seeing Niagra Falls! Sam's old roommate is getting married in London, Ontario on Saturday, so we are going to visit Niagra Falls Friday before heading north. I can't wait- although I've heard mixed reviews on the actual falls. Since the Texas heat lasts well through September, it will be nice to experience a little cooler of temperatures. That's why I've included a pashmina in my wedding ensemble!
Alice+Olivia Printed Silk Dress $365/Kenneth Jay Lane cocktail ring $125/Journee Fringed Pashmina $12.99/Metallic Twill Clutch $345/ Juicy Couture Pave Link Bracelet $98/Diane von Furstenberg Pumps $275
I love the soft colors in this Alice+Olivia dress. I'm not ready to let go of the spring/summer pastel trend.... not quite yet.
I'll be instagramming and tweeting (both @peakoftreschic) while up north this weekend to share my experience.
Any exciting plans for the days ahead?
That will be so much fun!!! Have a great trip :)
ReplyDeleteSounds so exciting! I've always wanted to go there. Love this outfit choice! xx.

Niagara is fun. You'll enjoy it. I've been twice. My parents and I went last year around this time. Go to Inniskillin Winery - beautiful and good wine. They are known for ice wine.
ReplyDeleteThere's the cutest town right by the winery that is a lot of fun to walk around with cute shops and places to eat.
Go to Niagara on the Lakes!

Love that A+O dress!! and yes a wrap is essential so you don't get chilly :) Have a blast!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! Have a fun trip! Your outfit roundup is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou will be in my city!
ReplyDeleteNiagara Falls is a little cheesy - its a tourist attraction, but very cool to see none the less.
If you have time definitely go to Niagara on the Lake, its really beautiful and we have some amazing restaurants and wineries. One of our favourite things to do is ride bikes around town and then go to Peller for a wine tasting and lunch.
As far as the weather goes, its hot here. I have been trying to leave the house with a chiffon scarf and cardigan the last couple of days - neither last more than a minute because I am burning up, and i look far too eager for fall haha :) I am not sure what it is like in comparison to Texas, but I would imagine you will be surprised by how warm it is still [hopefully the weather doesn't make a liar out of me and drop fifteen degrees in the next two days haha]
Have so much fun and let me know if you make it into NOTL xo

What a breath-taking place for a wedding, and the outfit is perfect, Miss Sam...big hug coming at you...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely seconding the Niagara on the Lake and surrounding areas idea, check out the countryside, stop by some orchards for breathtaking photos. My close friend's family owns a farm in Vineland that I love to visit this time of year, the Jordan Village / Twenty Valley area is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteCOOL! I've never been there. What a cute look! xo
ReplyDeleteI live about an hour away from the falls. Admittedly they are quite touristy but I can't help but LOVE this wonder of the world. The power of them is quite remarkable. If you can go on maid of the mist, it's pretty fun and only around $15!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
xo
I haven't been there but my Mum has and came back amazed by the experience. Lovely outfit and I love the ring - I have a couple of Kenneth Jay Lane pieces - great styles and quality.

ReplyDeletePS: Hope the weekend gets a little bit cooler, it's been 30 degrees (Celsius) since I got back ;)
The falls are amazing. I'm not too far on the Canadian side. It is touristy in some areas, but laying on the grass beside the falls or up in one of the restaurants is amazing. Have a good time!
