New Year's Eve and I have a love-hate relationship. Some of my best memories were made on NYE- like ringing in 2009 in Aruba, 2010 in the middle of Times Square, and 2011 in Las Vegas. Other years, the night was a lackluster experience and I barely made it to the strike of midnight. This year, I plan to go out with friends here in Houston and even bought a new dress for the event in hopes of making it special. I also curated a splurge outfit and a save outfit, just in case you need some last minute ideas:
Splurge: J Crew Lattice Necklace $228/Alice+Olivia Red Peplum Dress $377.19/3.1 Phillip Lim Handbag $750/L.A.M.B. Oxley Pump $295
Save: The Rebecca Clutch $59/Dorthy Perkins Gold Sequin Shift Dress $35/Mod Cloth Break Out the Baubly Necklace $17.99/Nine West Nude Pumps $44.99

What are your plans for the evening? Are you doing it up big or keeping it low key?
Wishing you a happy 2013!
Sounds like fun!! We are keeping it low key....early dinner with the family and I doubt we will make it till midnight...but we plan on drinking tons of champagne and living it up even if its at 6 pm! ha! when you have a little one everything changes a bit.

I actually have to be honest. I hate NYE. I really do. Too much pressure. I always have trouble enjoying any event/holiday that has pressure associated with it. I like to live and let live! Enjoy tonight and I hope you feel better my love!
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping it low key tonight but plan on wearing a little sequins to dinner just to feel a bit celebratory ;) Happy 2013, sweets! xoxo
ReplyDeleteKeeping it low key–champagne and pizza with a few friends. Hope your night is lovely.

That gold gown is unreal!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for keeping it low key. I love the outfits you put together. Have a fun night!
ReplyDeleteI'm putting on my kitty-cat pajamas, making linguine with crab, pouring a glass (or two) of my favourite wine and watching Men in Black 3! I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteAh so sad, I still need a NYE look!! I love everything you featured!! Have a wonderful NYE!!
