Laura U Magazine + to & from Gift Guide

It's no secret I love the Houston design community.  It seems that nearly every design team I have met are incredibly kind, supportive, and encouraging to one another, which is a rarity these days!  So when the Laura U Interior Design team asked to do an interview with them for their magazine, I was stoked (Do people still use that word?)!  

In the interview, I share a little about my personal background, dream job, future goals, and how I stay inspired.  The magazine is chock full of design goodness.  Here's a small preview, but to devour the full issue online go here:

Secondly, I was honored to partake in the Spring issue of the to & from gift guide magazine (launching today!!).  In case you aren't familiar with this genius idea, let me catch you up to speed.  to & from is a gift guide in magazine form full of unique and beautiful things for the latest occasions. It was created by bloggers Meg Biram and Katie Anderson this past holiday season, and let's just say I referenced it 100s of times while shopping for my friends and family.  The Spring issue features gift ideas for graduation, Mother's Day, Father's Day, wedding season, baby showers, and birthdays! They covered all the bases, don't you think?

 My spread is a "Gift Guide for the New Apartment Dweller":

This theme is near and dear to my heart because.... let's face it: my first apartment post college was nothing short of chaos.   I was mixing hand-me-down furniture with random pieces I had bought throughout undergrad, all the while still trying to figure out my own design style.  It was a nightmare.  I would have loved any (read: all) of these chic accessories and casegoods.
