Hello, hello! How was your weekend? I enjoyed a full day of relaxation yesterday while it poured rain outside. It was nice to just lounge and recharge. We need those days every once in a while, don't you think?
Today I thought I'd share a few updates on my rustic glam dining room project. If you want to see the beginning, feel free to catch yourself up here. My client and her husband have a love of elegance and classicism, and wanted to create an inviting dining room to host guests in their home. However, they felt their current dining room was lacking a bit of color:
This was the original design board I created for my client. I felt darkening the walls would give the room a little definition. I also suggested adding a sideboard lined with lamps and an abstract artwork above to add in a little color and interest:
I recommended Black Fox by Sherwin Williams for the walls, a few double gourd lamps from Robert Abbey, a Bliss Studio mirrored buffet, a Surya flatweave rug, and a soft abstract artwork. And... here's a little progress! We laid the rug and moved the buffet in along with the table lamps:
And then the artwork and a few accessories joined the party...
Even these small changes have made quite an impact! Next, we are adding silk dupioni drapery and a few boxwood topiaries to line the table. I promise to provide better photographs when we have completed the room! ;)
I hope you like! Have a wonderful Monday!! Today I am also guest posting on Laura Dro Designs... pop over and check out the post!
Looks awesome! Going dark was a great choice.
