Designer Crush: Lindsay Cowles

If there's a modern day Renaissance woman amongst us, I'd say it's Lindsay Cowles.  The Richmond-based contemporary artist is known for her abstract expressionist works of layered color, textured brush strokes and energetic movement.  One of her paintings was recently selected by Reese Witherspoon for her new Nashville store, Draper James.  In addition, she has a well-known wallpaper and textile line that has become a favorite amongst interior designers.  Her wallpapers feature many of the motifs from her paintings, as Lindsay is able to digitally manipulate the patterns in to wall coverings and textiles.

One of my favorite fellow bloggers and interior designers, Alex Kaehler, used Lindsay's Peach 718-1 wallpaper in her Grand Loft project, and I've been smitten ever since.
